Another big one wrapped up! (6 Ave from 20th Street to 18th Street, New West)
After months of complex civil upgrades, 6 Ave from 20th Street to 18th Street is officially reopened to the public.
This project came with its fair share of challenges — working through a sensitive archaeological area, navigating and protecting aging Metro Vancouver infrastructure, and completing works around SkyTrain columns, all while keeping the project moving forward safely and efficiently.
A huge thank you to our hardworking crew, field staff, and everyone involved who put in the long days to get this major corridor reopened for the community. Proud of what the team accomplished on this one.

Contract Awarded: No. 97424 for the Harbour Chines Area Utility Replacements
Sandpiper Contracting has been awarded Contract 97424 – Harbour Chines Area Utility Replacements by the City of Coquitlam.
This project includes:
- Sanitary main replacements
- Storm main upgrades
- Service replacements and transfers
- Additional supporting infrastructure work
