We've been working with Sandpiper on a trenchless storm main installation project for over a year, and it's been a great experience from start to finish.

For this project, Sandpiper chose horizontal directional drilling to avoid removing and reconstructing retaining walls along Stewardson Way and around the SkyTrain infrastructure, which would have required significant engineering and added complexity. It also eliminated the need to excavate across Stewardson Way—a major arterial route in the City of New Westminster—avoiding major traffic disruptions.

Sandpiper worked closely with us throughout the design process to develop a solution that kept traffic flowing while meeting the project's technical requirements. Throughout construction, they've been responsive, organized, and proactive. Whenever we've needed something, their team has been quick to respond and keep the project moving.

I’m the owner of *** Oliver Street, where the City of New Westminster contracted Sandpiper to complete the utility tie-in work for our single-family home.

I just wanted to share how great your crew has been. Sanjay in particular has been excellent - clear with communication, efficient, and very thoughtful in adjusting the work to suit our tight site conditions and limited access. Every time I’ve visited, he’s taken the time to explain the work and keep me in the loop. He was also able to keep the service boxes out of our paver path, which I know was challenging given the limited space, and we’re really grateful for the effort.

The rest of the crew has also been professional, respectful, and great to deal with. Since this is our family home, it means a lot to have a team onsite that we feel good about. I wanted to recognize Sanjay and the crew and make sure this feedback gets passed along. I’ll also be sharing this with the City.
