We are installing an 8-inch ductile iron water main along Hamilton Street, between 19th and 16th Streets. In total, over 600 meters of pipe will be laid at an average depth of 1.3 meters below ground.

This work is part of the broader storm separation and water main upgrade program for the City of New Westminster — an essential infrastructure project designed to improve water system reliability, reduce the risk of flooding, and support long-term community growth.

By separating stormwater from sanitary systems and upgrading aging water mains, the project helps protect the environment, enhance public health, and ensure more efficient water management for years to come.
